Ezio Blasetti is an architect tee/tcg, academic, programmer and computational designer.


Ezio Blasetti, registered architect in Europe (TEE-TCG), holds a masters of science in advanced architectural design from Columbia University after having previously studied in Athens and Paris. He is an Assistant Professor of Computational Design and Digital Fabrication at the New York Institute of Technology. His academic and professional research focuses on the application of advanced technologies in all phases of architectural design, from the initial composition to the digital and robotic fabrication. He is a founding partner at Maeta Design, an architectural design and research firm based in NY and Athens Greece with recently completed projects in Athens and Mykonos. In 2009 he co-founded ahylo, an architectural design and construction practice as well as “apomechanes”, an annual intensive design lab on algorithmic processes and fabrication. Founder of algorithmicdesign.net, Ezio’s earlier collaborations include new territories, biothing, acconci studio, a|Um studio and serge studio. He has taught generative design studios and seminars by means of computational geometry and digital fabrication at Weitzman School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania, Pratt Institute, Yale School of Architecture, Columbia University, Rensselar Polytechnic Institute, Sciarc, Cooper Union, the Architecturar Association, Michigan University, University of Technology Sydney, Tongji University and the Bartlett. In 2004 he co-founded otn studio, a young design-build practice and completed several projects in Greece. His work has been exhibited and published internationally including the Pompidou Center, the Venice and Chicago Biennale and the National Contemporary Arts Museum of Greece.
